Mehndi is the traditional art of henna painting in India and the Middle East. It is the art of adorning the hands and feet with a paste made from the leaves of the henna plant.
Mehndi art is very old . In India it is applied to the brides on hands and feet one day before marriage ceremony day . This day is called mehndi shower day. It is said if color of mehndi comes darker on bride's hands, she will be loved more by her in laws.
